Open Studio

Join us for an Open Studio with Rent Collective, an interdisciplinary collective currently in residence at the Spreepark Art Space.

In the residence’s communal kitchen and shared workspace on the top floor of the Eierhäuschen, sonic artists Clovis McEvoy and Garling Wu, and architectural designers Christina Zhu and Joseph Ravlich will display a selection of the group’s previous creative works, the interactive technologies used in their practice, and the project currently being developed during their residency. As a group, Rent Collective seeks to examine the subjective human experience of walking pathways through Spreepark and the surrounding Plänterwald forest. Drawing together textiles and alternative materials, music and sound, spatial forms, and touch-based interactivity, their project offers an alternative way of perceiving the complex ecosystems that exist within these spaces.
